New Building Project

Following the complete destruction of their original monastery in Tibet by Chinese Communist forces, the monks of Tsechen Damchos Ling re-established the monastic institution in exile in India. Built in 1977, the existing monastery is on the verge of collapse, having multiple dangerous cracks in all parts of the structure.

Having great enthusiasm for maintaining and diffusing the Dharma, the monks are determined to build a new monastic centre for philosophical education and meditation. The new Tsechen Damchos Ling will be located on a site just outside Village No.1, and will provide better facilities for the accommodation, education and spiritual activities of the monks.

The monks would greatly welcome donations to help achieve this project.
